The high altitude picturesque village of Grimentz is situated in Val d’Anniviers Valais. The jewel of unspoilt Swiss heritage is only 2 hours from Geneva airport and 35 minutes from Sion Airport.
Set at 1570m, this traditional 12th century village, with its narrow streets and traffic free village centre, is stunningly picturesque year round especially in summer when decorated by colourful geraniums famously associated with the area. A real “Chocolate Box” feel, with a spectacular alpine backdrop with the famous imperial crown jutting into the skyline.
This unspoilt mountain villages together with a modern lift system and sympathetic and controlled development around the ancient village centre, is the perfect place as an Alpine base for both Winter and Summer holidays.
In addition to the piste skiing, the area is famous for its fabulous off piste skiing, its mountain touring and heli skiing. From the pistes of Grimentz there is a stunning 360 degree panoramic view of the Imperial Crown – five 4000m peaks – Weisshorn, Zinalrothorn, Obergabelhorn, Dent-Blanche and the Matterhorn.
